POLICY - MISSION STATEMENT
Welcome to
FOR SALE by OWNER REGISTRY
This column contains the publishing and advertising
policies we have set in keeping with the intended purpose of this service. It
will help to start by telling you what we are not. First, we are not real estate
brokers or agents and will not act in anyway to represent the “buyers or
sellers” of real estate. If you feel you require assistance in buying or selling
your home, before you contact an agent or attorney, contact our office for
information concerning reputable agents or attorneys in your area. This
publication is intended to provide an advertising medium for homeowners,
persons, or companies offering home services, or services for family and
community activities.
All information regarding properties or services is provided by
the advertiser or seller - it is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. FOR
SALE by OWNER REGISTRY, Inc. assumes no responsibility for its accuracy,
omissions, typographical or other errors. Liability for any errors or omissions
shall be limited to “make good” with no liability for any or all
consequential damages. For Sale by Owner Registry only has direct control of
FSBOLocator.com and HomesbyOwner.com publishing and the advertising fee you are
paying covers only those 2 web sites. All other web sites are updated by their
respective owners and any outages or delayed updates are beyond our control.
Please report any problems with any of the web sites immediately and we will
endeavor to correct any problem that may occur.
Advertising will not be prorated. Once an ad has been
processed, no refund of any kind will be considered. Homes subsequently
listed with a real estate agent/broker will be dropped from further
publication.
The “Until Sold” Advertising Package continues as long as the property is on
the market by owner (not listed with a real estate agent) for a period not to
exceed 12 months. Sellers are required to use the signs included with the Package
or Ad and are for use only while advertising with us and we will call you when
they are ready for pickup at our office. A $50 deposit for the
signs is required; they must be returned to our store in good and clean
condition when your home is no longer For Sale by Owner. During the period you
are using our services, you may not display any other company’s sign on your
property without written approval from us. Changes
to the Ad can be made for the Price, Phone Number & Open House Schedule at no
charge - other changes such as ad copy or photo changes can be made at a cost of
$25 per occurrence. Advertising prices and services are subject to change
without notice. The owner/advertiser agrees to notify For Sale by Owner
Registry, Inc. immediately upon change of property status, i.e. Sale Pending,
Listed with Agent, Off Market, etc.
This publisher reserves the right to reject or revise any advertisement; and,
will conform with the intent of the Federal Fair Housing Act of 1968.
Advertising will not knowingly be accepted in violation of this act.
All RESIDENTIAL HOMEOWNER ADS are processed for
publication on the Internet as soon after receipt as possible. Once the ad has
been processed, no refund will be tendered
A charge of $25 will be made for any returned check.
No part of this publication may be reproduced in any form, in whole or in part,
